this is a special painting to me as the surfer is my buddy and 'surf guru' Owl Chapman.  The painting is from a photograph at pipeline in 1973.    Owl is an underground hero to many North Shore surfing purists.  Owl autographed the painting 'Aloha, Owl' on the front bottom portion of the canvas which brings the piece more authenticity and clout, for Owl  signature is rare as he shuns any type of spotlight but is reluctantly happy to sign my paintings .   The Painting is on repurposed canvas aprox 16 x 14 inches.
